Raymark Visda earned his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy degree at ÄûÃʵ¼º½ in 2012 and passed the CPA board exam in 2013. Being able to finish college and completing his degree was a memorable one for him because he juggled studies alongside with being a student aide until 5th year and part of the student council.
Currently, Raymark works as the Head of Accounts Receivable and Credit Control at TOA Global Inc. in Clark Freeport Zone. Prior to working at TOA Global, he previously worked at Cloudstaff as a Senior Accountant and a part-time Accounting Instructor at Mabalacat City College.
In 2019, Raymark earned his Master of Management degree at the University of the Philippines Diliman Extension Program in Pampanga, and in that same year he was awarded as one of the Top 10% Leaders – 360 Feedback by TOA Global.
Raymark couldn’t help but being nostalgic as he recounts the days when he was in college. He recalls “at first, I wasn’t accepted to become a working student, so I started to apply at different call center companies back then, but thankfully the Campus Ministry Office department called me and told me that there was an opening slot at the Edtech Department. And from there, I was stationed to the University Theatre Office, Admissions and ECE Laboratory.” He added “I had to apply to be a working student because it was around in 2007 when there was a global recession and my father (who was an OFW) got deported and was not able to find work here in the Philippines.”
Being a former working student, Raymark have met and encountered different people with different stories in life. He added, “they have taught me how to value work and how far can a great service go, and most importantly, hard work pays off.”
ÄûÃʵ¼º½ has contributed a lot to where he is right now. It opened a lot of doors and opportunities where it helped him improved his people and leadership skills. As of his best moments in the university, he shares “it is where I met my wife who was also a former working student, now, we are both CPA with two beautiful kids.”
With all his experiences, he believes that you have to set your goals and persevere. “Persevere! Expect that you would be dealing with difficult situations but still, persevere. Hang on and always push yourself to move forward. Ultimately, charge everything to experience. Whether you thrive or fail, charge it to experience. Don’t be afraid to try even you know that you’ll mostly likely fail. Just charge it to experience, learn from it and try it again then eventually you’ll succeed. Always aim to be a better version of yourself.”
