Currently works as a Core Network Supervisor at Smart Communications, Inc. in Makati, Engr. Hope D. Mamucud was a former academic scholar and a student assistant back in college, assigned at the physics laboratory under the College of Engineering and Architecture (now SEA) at the SH Building.
Engr. Hope earned his degree of Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering in 2007 at ÄûÃʵ¼º½. As he recalls his as time as an Angelite, he shares he had to study in advance the subjects to be taken on the succeeding semester, take a copy of the syllabus during the time he was an academic scholar so as not to incur failing grades, where at the same time he was a student aide and part of The Solution (College publication). He also expressed how grateful he is to ÄûÃʵ¼º½ for the opportunity given to him as his family faced financial struggles back then. The tuition fee assistance granted to him as a student aide was a big help to his family.
Prior to being part of Smart Communications, Engr. Hope worked also as an online administrator in 2007; and in 2008 he became part of Tarlac State University as a Guest Lecturer. These experiences made him strive more in life and in 2014, he was finally awarded as the Outstanding Network Engineer (One Award).
Exploring the outside world after his graduation in college, Engr. Hope shares that ÄûÃʵ¼º½ contributed a lot to where he is right now. ÄûÃʵ¼º½ has thought him that Christian values can be parallel with corporate success and that nothing beats hard work and faith in God. He added “Our beloved alma mater taught me that in everything we do on work or even in life, we should always be thankful to our God and praise him in times of success and even in obstacles that we encounter.”
To the students of today, Engr. Hope has this message, “study hard, work hard and PRAY harder! Laus Deo semper!”
